March update #1

Jalapenos, Poblanos, basil and cauliflower (large plot) planted. Also, the tomatoes that I planed before may be coming up, assuming these are the sprouts you see in the photos.

Large plot was overgrown with weeds. Now it isn't. Achievement unlocked! Plot cleared!

State of the Garden (February)

I found my old camera and took some proper photos. Here you go. Betcha never saw celery in its natural habitat -- you know, out of the grocery store.

Also shown here are arugula (one flowering and lots of others), two types of lettuce, swiss & rainbow chard, bluebonnets (not yet bloomed), cilantro (a little wild), rosemary, and my greenhouse which I cleaned up for Spring.

Spring time

Spring time is here! Well, as far as I am concerned. My garden is still alive and the weather is beautiful. Time to plant!

Here are the tomatoes I saved from last crop. I did this last season as well and they all came up and produced fruit. Awesome!

I will try to take more pictures this year as the garden develops with a better camera (just pulled it out of the closet 'cause I am sick of this broken camera phone), but this will have to do for now.

I also planted potatoes and transplanted some extra lettuce plants to give away. Maybe I'll do more blow by blows in the future if I can remember. It is fun to look back like a little scrapbook.

Good luck on whatever you plant whether in gardening or life.

Feeling good.

Let's get some historical records going in here and see where we are next year.

A little on Starseeds

Okay, this is going to be a way different type of article.

I love stones & crystals and I am using them also as an excuse to research & talk about Starseeds a little bit -- so I am going to gather up some information as a way of educating both myself and you reader!

This article will not address the characteristics of different Starseeds, as it is a subject matter with surprising depth and that just isn't the style of this website. I am also not versed enough to talk about it off the cuff.

If you would like to know more about the Starseeds, I suggest this article -->

https://thebalancedblonde.com/2022/11/09/all-starseed-types-lets-get-into-it/

These are the most well-known Starseed origins :

Pleiadian, Taygetan, Sirian, Arcturian, Andromedan, Orion, Mintaken, Lemurian, Venusian, Lyran, Lightworkers, Indigo/Crystal/Rainbow children

Do I consider myself a Starseed?

My life has been bizarre, unusual and even at times orchestrated, like I have a mission or purpose to fulfill. I have had severe and unusual problems connecting to other people, like I did not understand just basic concepts that seemed natural to them. I don't mean just being shy, but like I did not comprehend sort of natural impulses or behaviors.

I was often ostracized, misunderstood and bullied because of this as if there was something dysfunctional with me, even though that is never how I felt. I had a strong sense of self even as a child and for most of the time I just felt like I didn't belong.

I did not have a strong concept of "separation." I always thought everyone was suppose to be your friend and that everyone had compassion for each other. I was ridiculed for this attitude all the time. I had to learn the hard way over and over that isn't how it works here "on Earth"

My life has been numerous, countless examples that are similar or more nuanced than this that have

State of the Garden (January)

Sorry for the quality of photos. The camera on my phone is a little wonky.

Most the "bushes" you see are arugula. Arugula is a peppery lettuce that is super low in oxalates and quite tasty for making salads. The little green sprouts in the front are lettuce.

My second pumpkin patch. The other one died. This one is doing better, but I think I have some sort of mold that I am not sure how to treat. I am happy it at least got this far to see some actual pumpkins developing.

I planted cilantro a couple of years ago that went crazy. Now every year I get cilantro everywhere in my yard. I primarily use mine in detox shakes, but of course cilantro has lots of uses.

The left is a small lettuce patch. The right is my immortal Jalapeno tree. Well, hopefully immortal. He's sort of just hanging on right now.

These are the first tomatoes I have raised from seed. It is nice to have fresh tomatoes in winter.
